Unprecedented security measures are being taken in front of the courthouse.
The Tagansky Court of Moscow, where today may be limited terms with the familiarization of the materials of the case of hooliganism of the Pussy Riot participants, increases security measures. From the courthouse cars are taken away on tow trucks. In addition, dozens of bailiffs and police officers serve. There is also a cluster of police buses.
Pussy Riot lawyers appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office with a request to deal with violations during the investigation. One of the basic requirements is to waive the restriction of one month to get acquainted with the materials of the case. Moscow Glavk Ministry of Internal Affairs, meanwhile, asks the court to limit this period to July 9.
Currently, three members of the punk group are under arrest: Maria Alekhina, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Ekaterina Samutsevich. They are charged under the article "hooliganism" (part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Girls may face up to seven years in prison. Two more activists are still at large.
Recall that at the end of winter, the girls staged a "punk prayer" in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow.
